It’s big, it’s bad and it’s all Cadillac. The 2011 Escalade has been ranked second among 10 Luxury Large SUVs by Edmunds.com. Your Parkland Cadillac dealer can show you a thousand reasons why when you come in for a test drive of this bold ride.
The rankings are based on a compilation of published reviews, test driver and Edmunds’ own look at the safety tests and reliability for each model. This is not the first time the Escalade has received kudos and its V8 engine and overdose of luxury amenities certainly can’t hurt.
Despite its size, the Escalade is quite elegant, as customers of Lighthouse Point used Cadillac can vouch. With room for eight and plenty of stretch room inside, you won’t save money at the gas pump, but you will arrive in style.
“There are luxury SUVs and then there’s the 2011 Cadillac Escalade. There are full-size SUVs and then there’s the Escalade, according to Edmunds. You could buy any number of big, luxurious vehicles instead, but there’s just no true substitute for Cadillac’s celebration of power, brashness and wheels in a package so large the Amish could stick one in a river to power a grain mill.”
Although it doesn’t come cheap, the Escalade is a good value and is priced about the middle of its class. Yes, it’s beautiful to behold, but the Escalade is practical too. Remember, it holds eight passengers and has plenty of towing power for anything you might want to tack on the back. The comfort cannot be questions and it handles like a dream. If you need some persuasion, stop by your Lighthouse Point used Cadillac dealer for a driver.
The list of amenities is too long to list. Suffice it to say that you can get just about anything you want on this ride, except maybe a pink exterior. You’ll have to sell a lot of skin care products to get that one. The navigation system has even been upgraded for 2011 and is reputed to be even better.
Parkland Cadillac customers will find four models of the Escalade: the base model, the Escalade ESV with an extended wheelbase, the Escalade EXT with an enclosed cargo area for a short truck bed, sans the third seat, and the Escalade Hybrid. So you can go somewhat green even with the Escalade, but it likely won’t reach the 40 mpg rating like the smaller hybrids.
So here we are with a must-lauded, luxurious SUV. The Escalade is not a vehicle you want to discount without first taking a spin. The plush ride alone is enough to make up your mind and the trim choices paired with such an array of features makes this decision not much of a decision at all.
